Port Rail Ltd. is a private railway carrier and shunting operator that offers a wide range of services related to trains servicing within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Improving the efficiency of our services is a key objective for our company. Hereby we can meet all the requirements of our customers, their expectations and needs, in order to create a great climateof mutual trust and confidenceand deliver excellent service quality.

Port Rail Ltd. was established in January 2012 as a part of Advance Properties holding company and started its activity as a shunting operator on the territory of the private-held port operator BMF Port Burgas EAD. In May 2012 Port Rail Ltd. obtained a railway carrier license. Our company currently employs over 200 experienced professionals in the railway transportation field.

Since 2015, Port Rail Ltd. has been servicing the freight flow in the glass factories of BA Glass Bulgaria S.A.on the territory of Sofia and Plovdiv railway districts.

Since October 2019 our company is the shunting operator, which handles the incoming and outgoing railway traffic in the copper plant of Aurubis Bulgaria AD, Pirdop. In the railway district of Pirdop-Zlatitsa, we also serve the cargo-flow of Assarel-Medet AD and Ellatzite-Med AD.  

In 2017, Port Rail Ltd. has been authorized for wagons and tank wagons maintenance, and two years later, in 2019, the company expanded its activity by being certified for locomotive maintenance.  

Port Rail Ltd. is currently the shunting operator with the broadest scope of activity in the Gulf of Burgas. It handles the cargo flow of all industrial branches at Burgas station, the large cargo volume which is processed at both of the terminals of BMF Port Burgas EAD - Burgas East 2 and Burgas West,includingthe cargoof leading Bulgarian companies , such as:Aurubis Bulgaria AD, INSA GROUP, Bulmarket DM EOOD, Huss OOD, Promet Steel EAD, etc.
